Thanks for all of your help guys, I don't suppose anyone knows if there is a workshop manual on here for a D2 V8? I'm trying to find the rubber hose for the cruise control that I need to replace possibly.

I would not discount the dealers, I have been with my defender to a "reputable registered repairer" before it cost more for a standard service and ended up having to go back to the LR dealer to fix up the issues caused by the so called reputable registered repairer. only changed once but never again

their aint any their i tryed and they jacked up the price cause of the word rover

and another vote for mark at beach bourra 4x4 apart from a alternator mine hasnt missed a beat
