Bro has a Fiat X1-9 Bertoni
He needs a new fuel cap. His mechanic has tried to get one and been told to try a museum.
Anyone have an easier supplier than visiting Fiat themselves and pinching one?

You could try Ebay: fiat x1 9, Cars, Bikes, Boats, Books, fiat x19 items at low prices on eBay.com.au (http://shop.ebay.com.au/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m38.l1313&_nkw=fiat+x1%2F9&_sacat=See-All-Categories)
New old stock $100, plastic $40. :)
Same seller, Continental Spares in NSW: http://www.fiatorque.com.au/cont.html

Ross Smith at Fiatorque was always a pleasure to deal with when I have my 131.

Thought of that. This thing needs lots of work done on it. We only reuilt the engine as it was the factory original. Cost more to reuild than my TD5:eek:.

He's the man when it comes to FIATS:) Had my 128 with 1300 motor done up by him maanny years ago. Twin Webers, Koni suspension, would rev to 9000rpm:eek: Great car. My brother had his various FIATS looked after by Ross

If you don't find one at the scrap yeard you probably will have to employ the FIAT dealer network. I have a mate who works for them as a mechanic and I'll check if I can get hold of one here (but I live overseas). PM me in case you are in desperate need.

I got a fuel cap for mine a few years ago by asking the guy at the local fruit stand... :D:D Seriously - I'm not joking.

Give Italian Wrecking (http://maps.google.com.au/maps/place?client=opera&rls=en&sourceid=opera&oe=utf-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=italian+wrecking&fb=1&gl=au&hq=italian+wrecking&hnear=Brisbane+QLD&cid=12943307164580289860) a call in Brisbane (07 3852 2312)
I found them very helpful when I had my 124CC coupe. (Wish I still had it!)

Ross is still into Fiats then? I knew he and his brother Graham back in the '70's when I was a member of the Fiat Club of NSW. They were always the ones to see then as well.
