Here's a site that may interest the landscape photographers amongst us.

It calculates when the golden hour (that magic hour in the morning and evening where everything is side lit with a golden glow) occurs for a given map location.

The Golden Hour Calculator | Sunrise and Sunset information for photographers (http://www.golden-hour.com/)

Have a play with this program, stephentrainor.com: tools (http://stephentrainor.com/tools/) not bad for working out sunrise/sunset direction.

So the full moon rose a couple of hours ago - just after sunset - in line with a local pier.

Arse. Wish I'd had this app before now I would have made a trip out there to catch it.

It is a long wait for this exact combination again.

Cheers, Steve
