Help....

The two options I'm deciding between:

Santorini Black w/Almond interior

or

Stornaway Grey w/Ebony interior

Help!!

Have an 11 month old, and eventually want a dog...

Thoughts? Pros, cons?

Nothing light! Unless you plan to cover everything...

And Stornaway Grey looks the ducks nuts!

White and whatever you do, get leather if you have kids or a dog.

I thought there was a choice to be made here???

The only exterior option is BLACK.

The only interior option is LEATHER.

Stornaway grey is the ONLY exterior option IMHO........ but I would do it with almond leather, not ebony....

have the light leather in mine and keeping clean is not an issue..... as long as it's the leather....... if you going cloth........ go black!

I'm finding Nara Bronze hides the dirt and also looks good when the rain cleans it.

Silver is the go. The grey is too much like the colour of the road. Black is a bastard to keep clean.
Silver is also a good colour for re-sale and stays looking good even if dirty. Go for the black interior.
Hope this helps

Oh please not another Boreaway Grey, or Toorak Tractor Black. Blue, red, white...use the colour chooser on the website.

Here's some images to help.

Go off road do we? Exterior colour - not dark. That bramble rash will look worse with the dark colours. I have silver, bramble rash is hidden well as it is with white. Intererior - practicality - black.

If you plan to get it dirty and scratched I can vouch for the lighter colours. My D3 is Atacama sand and the only dirt that shows on it is red mud.

I also have the almond leather and don't find it a hassle to keep clean with 2 little girls.

I went for the Stornaway as am replacing a silver D3 - so didn't want the same colour, also the silver looks a bit bland without the highlights of the black flares and air instake.

It was difficult to decide as the Nara Bronze does look good, but I thought it might go out of fashion, the Ipanema sand did not look as good with black interior (I have 2 young kids - so need black inside) and swmbo said any colour but white - so Stornaway looked best for me, but no clear winner.

I am a little worried that it will show scratches more when I go off road so would have preferred silver or white, but I thought the stornaway was the best compromise for me.

I would go the light colours, the dark one's show all the scratches & marks:(
White or one of the other light colours would be my go.
Doesn't any colour not white cost a lot more?

Leather interior is the go,easy to keep clean, but must be looked after with a top brand leather conditioner or it will perish.

Good luck with the D4

All my D3's have been Blue. Seems to fit the family in it OK and handles fine on and off road.:D

Hi misheemee, my RR is Stornaway Grey and it’s a fantastic colour to hide the dirt, that is till you brush against it and it’s then pretty obvious it’s in a desperate need of a wash.

I have the black interior and prefer it as I tend to do a lot of night driving and the black interior reduces light feedback.

My wife's D4 is Nara Bronze, what a fantastic colour.

In some light it looks like an olive colour, in full sunlight it’s a rich metallic brown.

The wife calls the colour Latte, very apt name.

She has the light tan interior and I reckon that is going to be a pain to keep the marks out of it.

Nice problem to have. I went for white. Had to, company car. I like the Bali blue though. Still think white is pretty practical for the climate & cleaning though.

rmp - Thank you ! I'm sick to heck of silver cars. My Dad ONLY buys silver cars... how depressing.

Admiral, I agree. Fella in our club has a white one (D3) - it's really good and looks surprisingly flash esp with colour coded bullbar.

Leather - we have cream leather in the Citroen (an on-road car of course so less exposed to dirt) and while it looks GREAT it is now obviously getting quite dirty from sweat etc etc. A darker leather interior may be a better option presuming you have appropriate means (good tinting) of keeping the leather cool

oh and rmp - I love those mock-ups !

All the colors are fab!!

I ended up going to the dealership yesterday and changed my order. I had originally placed the order for Santorini/Almond in early Feb for delivery early June, and had only recently really came to the realisation that I want the Stonaway/Ebony. Off to the dealer I went, and now we are getting the Stonaway/Ebony delivery mid April! https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2010/03/965.jpg

I think the black is stunning but a little more work than I'm looking for. I think the grey will be alot less maintenance and still look shiny and new. With having a bubba, plans for another, plans for a dog, I think Stonaway/Ebony will fit into our lifestyle without stressing me out! If I could've convinced my hubby to agree, I would have gotten White/Ebony!

Thanks for your help! :)

I absolutely disagree with those who say go black leather interior with kids and dogs. Black marks so much easier than the Almond does same as for extreior, black is a bastard inside and out. Most things kids spill inside is light coloured and most mud from shoes, paws etc is light coloured and so doesn't show nearly as much on Almond, black shows every little scuff mark.

I have Silver with Almond and it looks great, you don't necessarily have to contrast the interior and exterior. Also, and I fully admit that this is just personal taste, but I always think that Lighter or natural coloured leather gives a much classier luxury feel than black as well.
