Bought my camera from DWI. Only problem was that the package arrived before the tracking number.

Thank you!!
was feeling a little depressed that both times I have saved over 2grand for my next lense I have had to spend it on the disco for repairs...
So was getting a little ****ed off as you can imagine... I had couple of hundred dollars sat in the bank for the disco's next set of shocks and I thought stuff it I dont have a landscape lens and I would really like one will also help taking shots of the house inside as my middle tamron lense isn't small enough:(
So I just bought the new tokina 12-24mm Mark11.....:)
I remember chucaro saying it was a great lens and I had read many reviews over the last couple of days including on other forums that said its as good as if not better to its Nikon equivalent....
So tonight I thought stuff it.....its been a while and I have saved twice with no success I'm going to buy it..so I did:)

Congratulations on your fine choice, it is a great lens!
All my landscaping images HERE (http://www.pbase.com/arthurplottier/landscaping) are with the Tokina 12-24 using a tripod to get sharp images early in the morning.
When you have some more money get the best Hoya polaroid filter that you can afford ;)
I am looking foward to see some photos in the near future.

Of course you can, just take your time to have a nice composition and have a GOOD tripod.
Experiment with the composition and always try to capture a good foreground which will make the image pop up.
The 90% of the images in my site have the tripod not more that 400mm fron the ground.
You will see that with the Tokina set @ infinite focus you will have a FG in focus from about 500mm to infinite.
Try to use it on aperture priority and if it is possible on the range fro f/7 tp f/11
F/9 is my favorite set-up on that lens with the D200.
Cheers
