Another shameless plug for Hard Range... I have entered in to an arrangement with Dennis at Rover Renovations where we can supply his kit at similar prices, with faster, local delivery. I have a heap of his kits in transit at the moment.

I also have a couple of kits here that I can send you now. PM me or visit http://hardrange.com (http://hardrange.com/)

Cheers, Paul.

Thanks Aussie - the kit was posted this arvo. Hopefully you will have it by the weekend. I'll send you the instructions for the rebuild via e-mail.

Congrats on being the first "real" customer via the web site :D It is not accepting credit card payment yet as the merchant account is not yet operating, but "real soon now" it will ;)

Cheers, Paul.

Must add, I hadn't browsed your site (HRA) for a couple of weeks but had a good look today. Your gen iii's are very attractively priced :D might have to give that some more serious thought....

Cool, hope we can help. I'll be updating the site with more stuff tonight. I'll also try to get an update on the ETA of the gear from the US.
Cheers, Paul.

The Rover Renovations site has the info there.

Hint: Mark every solenoid block with its location. Take photos. Don't ask me why.

hint Hint....

lay out a couple of sheets of butchers' paper on the table/bench and tape into position.

draw a large grid 5x4, each grid about 200m square. when you remove bits, put them in their own square and mark the square with what they are... can save you a lot of time later... (don't ask how I know this except to say that it works very well also with a Macbook pro display replacement job )

Yes SUPER THANKS to Paul for his fantastic photo's & instructions on rebuilding the air block. Did mine yesterday.
Today rebuilt the compressor with instruction from Rover Renovations.
Both sets of instructions highly recomended
Cleared all faults. So far so good been for a short drive. No more faults, touch wood. Only it took a fair while to pump up. Things may need to just settle in Will see what happens in a few days time. All good for now. Found some very hard seals {"o" rings} in air block. Now they are replaced with nice new soft one's. Hoping it has curied most of my suspension problems.

HINT for anybody doing theirs. Do one valve at a time, repair & replace it, instead of pulling all valves out at once. May take a little longer to do but nothing gets out of place that way.

6 - 8 minutes is a reasonable time for the compressor to recharge the tank from empty. Then it needs to exhaust itself into the airbags to bring the truck to normal height...more compressor work....

a pleasure Gary... is good to see the instructions getting some use.

Concur with Hoges... up to 9mins for a standard compressor from empty, add more time depending on which height you have selected.

Cheers, Paul.

I decided to recon my Valve block using the kit recommended from rover renovations.
The kit cost US$24.50 but they want us$28 to ship. Am I missing something, is there a cheaper option I cant see.

Yep, sure is... Hard Range will sell you the same kit for $35 AUD, or $40 posted anywhere in Australia.
Range Rover P38A (95-02) - Valve Block O-ring Repair Kit | Hard Range Australia (http://www.hardrange.com/node/11)

The price difference is due to import duty and GST. As an individual, you may or may not get called up by Customs if they decide to check your shipment. As a business I expect to get caught every time, so the extra 15-20% is built-in to the price.

Only trouble is, I've just sold the last kit to a member of this forum and the next batch of stock from Rover Renovations won't be here for another week or so.

Cheers, Paul.

Hi wayneg
Got mine from Rover Renovations. Cost US$24.50 plus US$10.40 shipping. In Shipping there are couple of options.
Payment method - Paypal . Shipping Method - Use My Account ( Pickup)
Wasn't sure about this but all arrived O'k.Cost to my door & I'm in the sticks was AU$38.36. Delivery was about 10 days. Not much difference to Pauls price take your pick .Sorry I didn't use Paul but had ordered before he was set up with HRA.
