Just wondering if anyone got a thank you gift from LRA, they send one when
I bought the D3 a few years ago. (picnic rug )
But with the D4 nothing, must be how they keep the price down.:

My local dealer (who has been thoroughly excellent right thru) offered some good red, but when I said "no thanks" they were quite happy to switch into an equal value donation to a charity (World Vision) - and good on 'em for that. From LR themselves? I got an attractive but rather useless booklet with "Inspiration" on one side and "Assurance" on the other, and some feel-good blather in the middle. After my ongoing grumbling about the dumb possum-spotting headlights and the squeal-in-reverse brakes I figure I've got limited chance of scoring anything more... :)
But hey - I wouldn't expect it - I bought the car for what IT gives, not what LR might offer up as a bonus. And I haven't been disappointed (despite the possum-spotters!).

Got a Large envelope in the mail.... full of bull**** stuff (paper, 50 or was it 60 year anniversary stuff)

Otherwise, nothing. Actually the only thing I got from the dealer was the keys etc.

You guys are making me jealous

LR phone survey only. I made the comment that I thought the dealers follow up once I had placed an order, was non existent. I received an email the following week from the dealer, asking how I was enjoying the car and if I had any issues. No further contact from anyone at LR or the dealer. Missed out on the wine though....not even offered ?

Actually I lie, I got nothing from Land Rover, but I forgot because it came a bit later, but the dealer gave me a free Land Rover Off Raod training day which was very good, so I apologise to the dealer for my previous sleight, that was actually a very nice gift which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Hi Roamer,
I received a voucher for a photography studio in Melbourne.
Bought mine from ULR Malvern Victoria. They have been great

I got that when I bought the Defender. I pointed out a discount on a set of muddies might be better for Defender owners. I don't think they were all that impressed with the suggestion.

I got a very nice Land Rover branded travel bag, good quality & a good size.
The dealer said he was also going to give me 2 X LR key rings but that he had run out.
Later LR Aus sent a fancy book/advert with a keyring come note pad, unfortunately the kids got hold of it & it is now RS.
So 1 key has a dinky plastic tag & the other has nothing.
Must get some decent LR key rings. From Where?

PS Also got surveyed to death.

I bought 3 D2's new,got jack nothing,two from one dealer & the same salesman.

Got a survey call from some survey people about service from the dealer & i gave them the full blast. They (the dealer ) rang the next day with all sorts of appologies & admitted they had made numerous stuff ups.

My reply was, don't worry,i will never be back.

I also mentioned to them i run a fleet of jap vans,& have never had a problem with their dealers repairs, ever.

Well roamer, we got a nice picnic set (canvas type material (but hasn't been out of the car since delivery in Jan 2006)), a leather key ring and fob and a LR Experience day from the dealer (all very well appreciated) and the usual follow up from Land Rover Australia with a surveyy and a DVD on driving the D3 (not too shabby BTW). We're happy...

But we must remember that, at the end of the day, it's not the cup, voucher, cap or bottle that's important!

It's what's attached to the key ring, that's what's important!

Your new car looks nearly as good though. :D
Good to see ya still around'

I got a $800 photo voucher too when i got the D4. But i "accidentially" lost it because I know from experience, once you are in the door the upsell to buy more photos was going to be extreme and my wife would not have been able to keep herself to only the value of the voucher.
In short, the thank you gift was going to cost me money...

I would have much preferred $800 toward some decent off road tyres.

My dealer here in Toowoomba gave me a Land Rover wind sheeter Jacket which is excellent quality. There are key fobs on the way but at present they have run out.

I forgot to add that when I ordered to car, Porsche sent me a 356 model.:D

Yesterday they sent me a paper weight (I think) with the Porsche Crest and my name and the VIN engraved on it.:D

These came from PCA, though, not the dealer.

Apart from the photo offer from the dealer, we got a very practical set of LR rubber floor mats that are appreciated daily. Sometimes, like today, I have to jump in with my boots still carrying lots of sheepyard "extras" but even the everyday dirt would soon destroy carpet. Thanks Pete!
