Not sure about anyone else, but I have had quite a few little bits & pieces going on with my electrics......starting issues, rear windows coming back down, bluetooth etc etc.
One major recent problem was the loss of sound through the stereo. After much searching by ULR it turned out to be the CD player. They replaced it and that has fixed the problem.
While it was in at ULR they did all the patches and software upgrades that are available.
I have had my vehicle back for 3 days now and have noticed (according to my trip computer) that my fuel economy has improved by around 1 Lt per 100 Klm's. At the moment it is showing 9.9 Lt per 100. This is mainly running around town and one trip back from Melbourne.
Pretty good I thought for the 3.0 TD.
I am interested if anyone else has had the upgrades and what sort of economy you are getting (with or without the upgrades).

Still on a high since buying my D4.

I have a 2.7 D4 and my passengers side rear window drops halfway down, once it has been opened. I can get closed by pulsing the switch. I am saving it up for a full service. They are too far away for minor bits & pieces.

Hi Admiral,
What sort of economy are you getting out of your Disco? Or at least what does your trip computer tell you? Did you drive the 3.0Lt before buying the 2.7?
So many questions!!!!

Hi Admiral,

I am only getting 12 to 13 litre per 100k, but the motor is still under 2000klms, and I have been mostly doing city running. I have noticed that the auto will not change up from 5th, but haven't been able to isolate why. It almost seems it is calibrated to sit on 1800 rpm. If you use the command shift at lower speeds ( 80kph ) and push it to 6th gear, the revs drop about 500, which must chew less fuel.

No I did not drive the 3 litre. I had ruled it out for several reasons. Cost, the 19" std rims ( I intend to take the D4 on serious off road trips , and I can get away with 18'" rims or retro back to 17's with the 2.7 ) and that it was brand new. The 2.7 has been around for a while now, and is well sorted for any bugs. Truthfully another reason was I would rather not know how much I am missing. Bad enough reading about it.
I must admit, if my priority was towing, the 3.0lt would have jumped to the top of the queue regardless.
I had a good look around though, and the biggest competition the D4 2.7 has is not other brands, but the other D4 & RRsport models.

If you get serious and want to chase an 18" rim option for your 3.0lt, look up the thread on rims posted by gghaggis. Gordon was chasing down a thinner rim to potentially fit the 3.0lt models.

Hi Admiral, Thanks for your comments. I do a fair bit of towing and not alot of 4Wdriving, hence the 3.0Lt.
Thanks for the advise on the 18" rims. I might look into that.
FYI: My Disco sometimes stays in 5th first thing in the morning (in 100Kph zone) until I get about 5 Klm's down the road.
I towed my 2 ton boat to Albury and back over Christmas along with 3 kids, wife and all of our gear. Didnt change out of 6th all the way there and back and I averaged 13.1 Lt per 100Klm's. I had only 1200Klm's on the clock when I left. Blew me away. Far better than I excpected.
Thanks again, Craig.

Hi all,
ROW still doesnt mean Australia, You will be notified from LRA in the mail when the Action is available.
We have yet to see anything for Australia, & again will be notified from LRA when the updates are available.
There will be one specific for Australia.
Cheers.
