Thought you guys might be interested in this photo of a replica of Fred Flinstones car. It was photographed at Sawyers Gully near Newcastle, the owner certainly put a lot of effort into its construction!!!!:D:D

https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2010/03/736.jpgJust one question, and not minimising the artisan's work, if Fred Flintstone, was an animated cartoon character then is the item a replica or an artists impression?

Yeah, that question is a bit cerebral for me but I was in a hurry and the image is too small, lets see if this is better!!!:D

That'd be an artist representation of a replica of the one that was restored from the set of the Flintstones movie which a story that was acted in real life on an amalgamation of plot lines from the cartoon series.

And here I was expecting a picture of a County with an Isuzu.:p

The ride would be about the same.

Looks like it would ride quite well on corrugated roads. :wasntme:But only some corrugated roads, not the ones made by road-trains in the outback!

That piece of transport history is just at the start of a lovely gravel road nicknamed "21 bends", this is what happens to most cars that travel it, its the shortcut between Maitland and Cessnock, did you have a look in the Dam just behind it? He has a mannequin sitting in a truck tire tube dressed in some weird outfit.

Actually the road you call 21 bends is the roughest road I have ever travelled on. It is called (as you know) "Old Maitland Road" and I believe it was the original way between Maitland and Cessnock, and bends, brother, no wonder they built a different way to Cessnock, you get dizzy on that road!!:)

And only Isuzu powered Land Rovers can handle the 21 bends for the past 20 years, the 21 bends is nothing, crikey its just a bloody dirt road always has been and always will be a short cut to maitland and yeah I've seen the garden ornament, there is a better one out along o'conners road if you know where to look, it's more in tune with this site,,.
