Sorry I can't help, except for some pages from a workshop manual attached below - don't know if Isuzu County is different.

I'm using a 110 chassis, with a rangie firewall and dash. I don't have a 110 dash that I can check.

Do you have the 3.9 wiring diagram from the Australian supplement? IF not, PM your email address and I'll send it.

Thanks guys

Yes the wiring differs enough to get you in the poo between models and there seems to be a change between 85-86 as well for the Isuzu’s
So wiring diagrams are a bit limited in some respects.
Amp meter, if its shown on the diagram? may be feed by a white wire from the alt ( V8) or a green wire from the fuse block.
The Isuzu supplement shows dash lights as RW where in reality they are WR add to the 10 zillion earth wires.

As well as 25 years of other peoples work.

Anyway i have ripped it all out again and am making up a short loom for just the dash pod feeing into 1 connecting block.

I do how ever need a mud map for the combined light panel if any one could be so kind.

I'd like to help, but I'm sure there's someone closer, plus I've got a killer hangover. Much prefer your new avatar!

I had the dash out of my 1990 Isuzu County just last week as the dash surround had cracked so I replaced it with a new one.

Apart from the 2 big multi-plugs on the back of the warning light cluster only one of the other warning lights was connected to anything - and my car has hardly been messed with since it left the factory.

Just like your photo there were 5 white warning globe holders but only the rear heated window warning light was connected - can't remember the colours but will check for you. If you hold the warning cluster up to a light you'll see that there's no writing on some of the warning lights, they are simply un-used. Another has a seat belt warning signs on it that wasn't used in this market at that time.

I'll pop outside now and check the wiring colours for you.

The other ones are, brake emergency this is connected to the balance thing on the brake lines just under the booster, left top light.

Park brake bottom right

middle is green light that’s connected to the immobilizer( but unlike a puma a 10mm spanner can fix that)

Top right rear demister

So im all sorted now

All I have left to do is fined the wiring diagram for the Tacho ( that’s with my original mud map)

Just kidding... that was last week! :D

OK, so I just popped out the warning cluster again and I only had 4 white globe holders as one was missing. As per my earlier post only one of them is used though. It's for the heated rear window warning lamp at the top right and the wires are white/green and black:

The 4 other globe holders at top left, bottom left, bottom middle and bottom right aren't used in my car, the pic below shows why as top left is "Park Brake" - my car uses the (P) light when the handbrake is applied, bottom left is blank, bottom middle is blank and bottom right is "24V", so also not used.

Hope this helps,

Our posts just about crossed. So it sounds like your light cluster is different to mine as Park Brake and Brake emergency are in different spots.

Cleaner, I have to pull mine out soon, trip meter isn't reading.
Is yours similar to this:

mate, if you are just looking at your trip meter than you have no problems with wiring. the speedo is held in with 2 brackets, there may be an earth on one of these and the 2 lights which just pull out. i doint think you can pull your speedo apart though?

My thoughts as well - but if you do get anywhere with it, let's know - my trip meter has started playing up!

No worries John and Cleaner,
If it does match yours Cleaner then I can tell you which wires are which...
The trip meter worked a few weeks ago until I zeroed it. Grrr.

Cool. I got it all sorted and yes it looks the same as yours from the front.

i actually cut out all the wires and redid the dash on the bench and using a connection block from repco, much nicer and easy for my son to sus out in another 25years time.

The surprising bit was. firstly I though the wiring diagrams were all a bit suspect but now I think that wires had been bypassed and other wires used for other jobs, IE being swapped over at both ends etc. But I haven’t found a wiring diagram that actually fits the pre85 counties. Like the one the tooth fairy posted I suspect is actually closer to a S3 isuzu than a 110.

The only bit that I am not sure about or comfortable with is there was an earth running from the back of one of the gages ( there are many earths here) up to one of the screws that hold the plastic back bit of the pod. 4 screws going up into the dash pad. these screws actually go into plastic toggles never touching steel, why or is it a previous mistake?
