Darwin & Singapore in April

Elisabeth and I will be heading up to Singapore next month for a short holiday.

We'll be stopping over in Darwin but only overnight so we're not sure whether we will be able to meet up with anyone whilst there.

We'll be in Singapore are about a week from about 21 April. I don't know if anyone on the forum is from Singapore.

We'll be stopping over in Darwin on the way back from Singapore as well.

Then, in May, it looks like a week in Wellington (NZ).

Ron, are you flying direct to Darwin or via Cairns? Only reason I ask is that the Cairns-Darwin flight calls in here so we could meet at the airport, briefly (everyone gets off loaded whilst they refuel).

Also we may be over in Darwin for a few days late April so please keep me posted of the dates in case we can meet there.

Enjoy Singapore, we are hoping to spend a few days stop over there later in the year if we go to Europe.

Direct Sydney-Darwin, Derek, arrive 1630hrs 20th April and depart for Singapore 1610hrs 22nd.

Return to Darwin 0235hrs 29th, depart for Sydney 0805hrs 30th April.

I expected you'd be on the direct flight to Darwin. If you haven't booked accommodation in Darwin for the 29/30 I would highly recommend either of the motels at the Airport as they have courtesy shuttles and are a stones through away so its a quick check in and crash after the Singapore-Darwin leg and an easy check out for the departure to Sydney.

If we make it to Darwin in April it could well be the weekend of the 20-21/April so will let you know.

We've booked into the Novatel Atrium both times (same place we stayed in 2007). It's an easy walk into town.

We could look at meeting on the 20th at dusk. By then the rains would/should have stopped so it will only be hot and humid.
Forget meeting on your return!!! by the time you get through customs etc it will nearly be time to get to Sydney. Not much in the way of brekky at Darwin.

Back to Darwin tomorrow night. We arrive in Darwin on Thursday about 0430! Leave Darwin for Sydney at 0700 on the 30th.<br />
