Any ideas what is fail safe to glue or stick the magnets into a small 12v electric motor, it's the actuator off my 4BD1. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/isuzu-landy-enthusiasts-section/99003-isuzu-shutdown-actuator-2.html

Araldite is pretty damn good, as long as the surfaces are clean of grime and particularly grease/oil, it should hold them pretty well.
Long setting time araldite holds stronger than the short setting time stuff too.

Buy some "rear view mirror glue" from your auto parts shop. There's enough high strength two-part glue in this packet to do what you need to do. Its very strong, takes about 1 hour to harden. Should be happy with metal-to metal instead of metal-to-glass.

I was going to say from using it at college found it quite brittle once set

Call a motor rewind outfit and ask what they use. Agree araldite won't like the heat.
Would also look at Three Bond, Wurth and Sika websites and see if they Have any suggestions.

Cheers

Heat won't be an issue, it only turns a few revolutions

Try the araldite, whats the worst that can happen

I've used this product on several metal to metal applications.

None have failed yet.

Just another suggestion.

DEVCON plastic steel epoxy

from my experienece exceeds 24hr araldite for many similar fixing jobs...
I used it just this week to build up the pitted seal surfaces on a triple axle boat trailer.
I like it.

Thats not much radiant heat at all, considering its location;)

As it lives on the foot well under the brake master cylinder etc and is on the opposite side to the exhaust should be fine I hope. Just got to get the damn thing to work now:mad:
