Steel will definitely fit. I'm fairly sure the alloys will too. The D1 is the same PCD as a Defender. If you got alloys you'd need to get the alloy wheel nuts too.

Time to use the search function. This topic has been discussed so many times before.

apart from the hole patter you need to be careful with the offset and the width of tyres you put on the wheels.
the back springs on the defender can rub against the tyre if you go too wide, unfortunately I can't tell you how wide is too wide.

If you have reinforced axles / hubs on the Defender, you may not be able to fit the centre cap on the mags. There are two styles of aftermarket flanges, and one is narrower, allowing the mags to fit with the centre caps on.
The mags look good, reduce unsprung weight etc, but if you break an axle (fairly uncommon) you have to remove the wheel, whereas with the steel rims (D1 or Defender) you can leave the wheel on and remove the axle, which is safer on the side on a mountain (again fairly uncommon).
