Hi I would like to know whats involved in a 2005 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 3 4.4L Auto HSE 80,000 service and the approximate cost as I am looking at one that will need this service done very soon. Its in Vic so I cant just have a look at the book, so any info would be great.
Thanks Peter

Peter,

Phone your LR Dealer with the year , Kms and spec .
They'll quote you a price and work required. If you
have the VIN , some history maybe available to them too.
It's out of warranty , so may have unresolved faults .......
Have a damn good roll around underneath with an inspection
lamp and mirror to observe leaks . Drive it well to check
powertrain. There's a hell of a lot of parts on these vehicles
so you may seek the company of someone with knowledge
when test driving. Good luck

All 3 Vic v8 HSE's listed on car sales have been there for at least 2 - 3 months. If you are prepared to travel a bit further or put a car on a truck there is a 2005 v8 HSE in WA which has all of it's servicing up to date, same km's that you are looking at, also bonatti gray and is in exceptional condition. It is also a much better price. For a v8 it would be my pick and I was very close to buying until a diesel came up for a similiar price. I ended up getting a tdv6 last week instead.

The black one with bull bar was a company car. It has a squeek at 100km/h and torn door rubber. Something not right there. It also has quite a few marks in the paintwork and rides firmer than other D3's that I have driven.

I haven't looked at the other two v8 hse's in Vic.
