My wife left for work this morning and when I was walking across the drive where the Puma had been parked I noticed this bolt lying on the ground about where the engine would be. I have looked underneath and from above around the engine bay but can't locate anything as yet.
Car's running OK and nothing seems to have fallen off... yet.
Nothing else has been parked in this spot for over a week.

Oh dear!

It's got yellow paint on it which shows it's been checked by Land Rover during a recall or service.

Maybe not checked well enough!

There's yellow paint on lots of bolt heads on the Puma Ron. Unfortunately there's an equal amount of loctite not on bolts I think:mad:
So this is why I suspect it is from the Puma.

if it could have come from the other end the rear door check strap would be my guess. (bolt on my td5 looks exactly like that and has fallen out before)

It appears from the stepped nature that it's either from something that has to pivot on the bolt (as Psimpson7 has suggested above) or something that is squashable - such as an acoustic engine cover - and that's where I'd be looking.
Not familiar with the Puma but looks similar to the Td5 acoustic cover ones.

How are all of your seat belts ? Still attached ?

It looks like a seat belt bolt.

To small for seat belt, but I'm about to go check the doors out.

One of the things I learned from the factory tour last year was that yellow paint on the head means that the bolt has been checked to make sure its at the correct torque...BEFORE it leaves the factory production line.
That said, I couldnt see a photo to look at it!
