I've just spent a good hour searching through the forum trying to find an answer to this, but no luck...so thought I'd post the question/problem.
While driving today on the freeway and then slowing down to exit I suddenly found that my clutch wasn't fully disengaging - at an estimate only about 30% compared to normal when changing into forwards gears and it's almost impossible to go into reverse.
I had new master and slave cylinders as well as a new clutch kit and pivot fork fitted around a year ago and have done around 25,000kms...so my first thoughts were an air block in the line...
Did a complete flush of the fluid from the lines tonight...no improvement. So it's not air in the line.
Clutch pedal does not engage fully. I tried to disengage the clutch (to change gears) and the pedal will go freely to just before where the clutch would normally disengage and it then feels like I'm trying to push down a brick wall and the pedal won't budge.
Also while I was flushing the system I noticed silver/metallic sludge in the bottom of the master cylinder.
I'm leaning toward the slave cylinder, but to be honest I'm kinda stumped...at under a year since they were replaced with new parts for the master and slave cylinders and clutch you would think that they'd be going fine. :wasntme:
So getting back to the question, what do you think the issue is? Thanks heaps! :)
