They have raced diesels at Le Mans for years. Sign of the times

Be happy to see this in the Mustang but can't see anything like that until well into 2015. For now the 5.0 litre with a LLPG option would be great as per the commenters suggestions. They are also probably right when they suggest that a 2.0l Ecoboost will probably go in instead ala Mondeo, with Powershift.

mowog, lots of (potential) Ford Territory owners are still waiting for the TDV6 to appear in that vehicle. But now that the 3.0 TDV6 has been released (Jaguar, Land Rover and Peugeot (in the 407)) and the cost of purchasing the 2.7 TDV6 with the ZF gearbox (Ford Australia already use the ZF 'box) way down on what it was when the TDV6 engine was released there stands a good chance that the engine will end up in other places and vehicles.

Me, I would like to see it coupled with the 6 speed manual 'box in the Defender built on a modified D3 coiler chassis (minus the scary electronics). That would be one great vehicle.

Changing the motor won't alter the fact the Territory is essentially using the same suspension as the Falcon. If you would not put a Falcon through it, think hard before considering a Territory.

I owned a Territory before the D4.

The suspension... well the Falcon since the FG uses a similar setup to the Territory.
