This topic has probably been brought up before. I was interested to hear some feedback re no mudflaps on the D4. I have just ordered some rear mudflaps. According to ULR the front ones are not needed. I haven't experienced any stone chips as yet. Wondering if anyone else has?

Based on the mud on my front doors over the weekend I would say they are needed.

How much are they charging for them?

The rears were around $170.00. I didn't get a price on the fronts. I did wonder if they would get torn off or not.

If you have sidesteps it will reduce the risk slightly, but if you want to protect the sides, I think there is no choice but to fit them.

I would consider removing them before undertaking heavy offroad work on a muddy trail though. I suspect they will get torn off unless you have the shorter rods and more clearance.

How about this set I've been watching on eBay that is regularly relisted:

Front:
DISCOVERY 4 (GCAT) 2010 MODEL FRONT MUD FLAPS GENUINE - eBay, Land Rover, Car Parts, Vehicle Parts Accessories. (end time 07-May-10 09:02:37 AEST) (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270467516646&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT)

Rear:
DISCOVERY 4 (GCAT) 2010 MODEL REAR MUD FLAPS GENUINE - eBay, Land Rover, Car Parts, Vehicle Parts Accessories. (end time 05-May-10 19:55:36 AEST) (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270481101484&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT)

Looks like <$AUD100 each pair. Shouldn't be $70 for postage? Will it fit?

I just picked up my D4 today. It has mud flaps, i think i will be removing them because i reckon it will get stuck in sand... what does others think?

What tyres did you have fitted at delivery?

Thanks for all that. Seeing as though I don't do much off roading, I think I will get a complete set and unscrew them for the times that I am seriously off road
