Just after your thoughts on 2 options for the spare set of rims.

1. Buy D1 rims at $40 each+ $60 for 55mm? Offset ( ie flipped centres ) + $ 25 for sand blasting+$35 for p'coat= $ 160 each to get an extra 100mm? track width
( I may be able to get my mate to powdercoat for $0 = $125each)
or

2. Buy Procomp rims at $120 each ? with 36mm offset for an extra 72mm? of track width.

I think all that is the correct info

IIRC either way won't be legal. 25mm per side track increase is maximum allowable for 50mm total track increase.

Engineering might be a way to let you have more.

I have a set of D1 rims I am going to get offset changed when time and circumstances permit (they are still holding a D1 off the ground!).

I will be getting them changed by 25mm (not flipped). I think they are stronger than aftermarket rims and look better too.
