Well it was my first day underground today :p

Only for today and tomorrow putting a new machine together, but still

We are only down 370m so I guess it doesn't really count but it was still a good experience; personally I didn't have a problem with it but I can see why some people do

Had to tell someone :D

Thanks

Hi
Where are you going under, I have spent a bit of time at Rosebery- ta to a builder after my normal job, Renison for a look and Que River before it was opened (walking up to our waist in water there). Dont even relise you are under after a couple of hours.

I was taken on a tour of an underground mine (coal) and was amazed at the noises.

The whole place seemed as though it was in a state of controlled collapse.

The props were designed to allow time to get the coal out with a margin of safety time to move on to the next seams.

It was dark with the lights out.

Open cut is much more civilised for the non troglidites.

Hey mate

Beaconsfield Gold, the workshop was pretty good. With an over head crane and all.

I missed out on going down to Que River tomorrow, which is a bugger. But there'll be another time :)
