Hi there
Up until now I have just been losing fluid and topping up to rectify.
Now though , I can't get any pressure/resistance on the pedal at all.
I will probably get the master and slave cylinders done soon but in the interim I need to drive it off the lawn so my builder can have some spare space.
Any quick fixes so I can move it:)
Bash the cylinder with a hammer , undo something , bleed and fill with a pressure thingy? I don't know .

If it's just a straight run you could put it in low range and move it on the starter motor. The engine will fire but you can kill it with the fuel stop once you're off the lawn. Not ideal, but it might help over a very short distance.

or use the "High Tech" method.

Further to what Dave said:

This should be fine - I've moved plenty of petrol vehicles this way over short distances. (Sometimes, when suffering an acute shortage of motive power in the middle of a busy intersection, you'll try almost anything to get out of the way! :wasntme:)

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but fuel stop solenoid valves are typically "Normally Closed" aren't they? Couldn't you disconnect the fuel solenoid to guarantee it won't start in gear (and accidentally drive through the neighbors fence or similar...)

Cheers,...Jon.

Yep , the stall start procedure in low range was one I thought of and will give it a go in the daylight.
Might have to ensure the battery is on charge overnight.
Sounds like 'The Castle ' but to get out , I've got to do a few tight turns ; around the trailer , avoid the builder's shed , past the builder's skip , miss the house manager's Subaru and try not to take out the fence on the way:eek:
Nice one Kaaa , even If I have twenty Weeties , its a bit uphill to start with:o
My mate and I are going to try a pressure bleed unit on Sunday;)
Might get the piston moving

Is it not possible to reduce the risk a little by moving the Subaru and the trailer before hand? (I can understand that moving the fence is likely out of the question...)
