I'm on one, at the moment.

I am far from home, in fact pretty much as far from home on this island as I can be, looking at a resto project tomorrow. It isn't a Landy though, but just as interesting:)

Will report back tomorrow.

(PS; The LS430 is good for 10.3l/100 average on this run, over 400km so far:))

Easy to do when you're driving a loungeroom.

Nice tunes and effortless cruising:D Staying in a nice B&B owned by one of my customers, repaired his 110Td5 this arvo. Did 3 jobs today.

That daughter of yours has classy music taste, even after being exposed to classical music!

She finally believed me that Angus Young plays Bach Fugues on his guitar after we heard some on an ABC classic FM show recently. I had Thunderstruck on in the car a while back and tried to explain that heaps of 'modern' music has its roots in classical, to no avail until then:p

Just the thought of an old friar practicing pieces on a pipe organ in a musty old church compared to Angus' stage antics is a larf:D:D!

Correct, lots of "modern" (pink floyd being modern is a larf on its own, even AC/DC:D...well, comparitive measure and all that:angel:) stems from classical, but it just got better:p

Hi Peter, sorry no pics yet, it IS top secret you know:angel:

I am both daunted and excited at the same time, there is a fair bit of rust repairs to do, but all the repair sections are available new. The main bits are VERY sound, and it is complete, not in bits, only minus an engine.

I'll reveal all soon....still have to decide 100% whether to commit or not, there is a fair bit of $$$ involved to buy it, let alone restore it to a good standard.

Be patient:D

The Isetta was not only the one back then on the late 50's, I remember the Heilkel as well.
The Isseta also was produced on the 3 door version with a 600cc engine.

Kubel or Ketkraftenenrad ;)

Uncle. my German has deteriorated over the years. The best I can make out of that is "chain drive bicycle".

Do you mean the HK101 SdKfz101 (Sonderkraftzeugrad or-wagen depending whether it is a light truck or a motor-cycle?) light motorcycle half track made by NSU with an Opel engine? Initially intended for airborne units but got most use when issued as a light supply vehicle with Das Heer.

Could be good in the mud and slush of Tasmania. A bit easier to debog than a Panzerkampfwagen or a Mobelpanzerflugzeugabwehrkanonwagen usually called a Mobel-Wagen.

A Mobelwagen is a furniture van. So the long winded portmanteau word is literally an armoured anti-aircraft cannon furniture van. no doubt so called for its boxy van-like appearance. Normally provided with four x 20mm cannon. It would have been a formidable weapon either against aircraft or ground troops and vehicles.
