It's about time we Victorians had one of these threads.
Whilst travelling to Cranbourne South at 11am Sat April 14th 2010, I spotted at Anthony's Cutting west bound on the Western Highway one red RRC with what looked like grey primer sprayed around a sunroof closely followed by a dark coloured (possibly matt black) with a light coloured roof series three bouncing along behind.
I thought "they've got to be AULROers".

Spotted out Greensborough way on Sunday the 11th April, a nice looking D2 with rego R1CEY. Not sure if they're a member here.
And,
There's a house in Warrnambool on the main drag, western end of town, they have a white D1 and a red Rangey out the front most of the time I'm out that way. I think they might even have a Pootrol too. Once again, not sure if they're members here.

This morning I was taking the SIII Stage 1 into Melbourne.
At Anthony's Cutting (again, there must be a Landrover nexux there) I saw a White 4 door defender towing a trailer with a dark green Series 1 ute on the back.
They had to be forumites.
No photo's again, it happened all too quick.
You'll just have to use your imagination.

I was in a mates FG XR8 on Saturday. Itself a very nice car. We were travelling along the Deer Park bypass when we heard a very nice burbling noise. We were passed by a very nice looking dark metallic green P38(I think). The badge on the back read 6.2 HSE.
I don't usually take notice of Range Rovers but this one was worth taking notice of.

Why do all Defender drivers give me the horn as they drive by?
Waiting to turn right at the lights of Burwood Hwy/Springvale Rd at 4 o'clockish a stock looking Defender with a full length rack drove past heading north.
AULRO sticker in the usual left back window position but not quick or good enough to read it.

There's one for WA which I quite enjoy reading, thought it might be a good idea for Vic.
There are also special sealed sections for Gold Coast people and Queenslanders, special interest groups and a whole myriad of other stuff on this site so I thought why not?
You're welcome to come down and visit your southern siblings anytime Bob. Early March at Greendale would be good. Then I can post a spotted for your Landy. I'll even buy you a beer (Victorian, of course).

Mick, I would love to take you up on that. You will have to forgive me for being a bit touchy, too many of our mates are in trouble up here at the moment, and I feel frustrated that I can do nothing to help them. I'll leave it at that ,mate, sorry to give you a spray, God bless, Bob.

Yes. You Queenslanders are often in our thoughts. We see it on the telly every night. And it's travelling downstream so there are more northerners in the danger zone.
I woudn't wish that on anyone.

That was me heading out for the AULRO Wombat Wander... Had an EAS fault so got the compressor out and used my hardrange EAS Bypass kit.
My weekend went really good from there. Although there were a couple of others with need of recovery-towing by my P38! We collected some positive karma from another Rangie and a Disco!
I will have to get my hardrange EAS valve block rebuild kit out some time this week and fix the issue properly.

Yes, I'm a little excited.
I Spotted a dark blue Defender with a white roof entering the Western Highway from the Greendale on ramp. It was a four door with a black canopy over a rear tub.
I didn't notice if it was a 110 or 130 as I was somewhat distracted.
It was towing something in Auscam. Was it a No5? No, it had mud guards like a Track. Was it a Track? No, it had a single axle with leaf springs. Must be a civvy painted in Auscam. No, it had TAC holders on the back and on the lower front of the RHS it had an ADF data plate. Could it hae been a 750kg Haulmark? I've not seen one in the paint. From pictures the draw bar appears longer than this one appeared.
There. I'm calmer now.

Sorry, only just seen this thread.
Yes, it's real, from the 2006 Challenge in Thailand, was the Australian competitors car. I've owned Tango for a number of years so when we emigrated it came with me, arriving in March this year.
Photo is taken at the car wash place near my house, giving it a much needed spruce up. I take it there when it's covered in mud rather than covering my driveway in crap !
As for being spotted on /around Greens Road in Dandy South, it's where I work.

At the top of Swanston Street just as you turn off from Royal Parade, there was a Stornoway Grey 07+ Defender-had rovacraft winch bar, winch, didn't see whether it had an AULRO sticker, but sure looked the goods:)
Then turning into Grattan Street there was a nice tan/grey 4 door classic Rangie. Looked to be lifted, tinted windows and 33'' km2's. I think it had an AULRO sticker on the rear door. Spoted 2 defenders worth a mention, I see lots of Landies in my daily travel.
First was yesterday parked at Rays Outdoors on Bell St Preston.
110 wagon with rooftop tent and a neat looking tubed front bar with winch.
Second was today out the front of a car park in Albert St Preston.
Duel cab with the spare mounted to the roof rack.
Sticker on the door was somthing to do with insulation.
Again looked like a tubed bar, not sure if a winch was fitted.
Also spoted a dark L322 with a UHF arial on the front a week ago.

Well, we've just had 4 days on the road to Portland and back, and during that time we've seen quite a collection of Landies.
We were driving the Puma with fishing rods on the front bar, feeling very relaxed, and in cruising mode. ;)
Probably of most worthy note was the D3/4 spotted in Port Fairy who was more than eager to wave at us as we approached, twice even :D,,
Then there was the Motor Home coach towing a yellow 90,, looking very cool,,
And to top it off, we ran into (not literally) "110 dude", at a reserve in Princetown, who waved furiously as we entered the park :D
Also along the way we spotted a couple of "Orkney Grey"(?) 110's on the GOR as well as a couple of 130's, a green 110 County (? , thinking it looked like Murray) just out of Geelong this arvo.
A few more spotted and waved at, including Discos, 1,2,3's some waved some didn't, all in all, a very satisfying "spotting" trip :D
Thanks to all those who waved, I'm sorry if I missed waving at anyone who may have spotted me, and also sorry if I've missed pointing you out on here.

Also spotted today on the way home (or it may have been yesterday), traveling in convoy towards Portland way, was about 15 or so Fire truck with lights on.
I felt quite emotional when I passed these guys, giving them all a wave, as their off I'm guessing, to help with the fires further west.
But the very last vehicle to pass us in the convoy was a Defender. It took us by suprise, so I can't tell you if it was a 110 or 130,, but it looked good all dressed in impressive Red.
What ever your up to boys,, thanks.

Saturday afternoon travelled to Point Nepean and just realised 'THIS IS THE CAPITOL OF DISCO'S & RANGE ROVERS'. Never seen so many traveling or parked on the side of the road. My wife told me in the end to be quiet (being nice) and not point anymore out as she was sick of hearing me say there's a disco there's a rangie.
Probably gave up after about 70 sitings.

Spotted two very notable units today on the way home from Melb.
First was a silver Puma 90, driven by a woman, with a female passenger,, they looked rather happy cruising around :D
The second, a very bright yellow Soft Top. Not sure if it was a 90 or a two door 110(?). Looked cool though, and we got a wave :D
Also spotted two 110's around Parkdale(?) parked at the beach.

You'd be surprised. There are quite a few kicking around. Lindsay Fox has six or eight I'm told. There is a fellow in Victoria (Shepparton I think) who restores them.
I waved at another SII Stage 1 yesterday. Same colour as mine. There seems to be a lot of Landrovers about this weekend.

If it is the same one I passed on the Pentlands around a year ago, I think it is a 750kg Haulmark.

I have it on good authority the fellow is a collector and will probably be buried with it.
Having said that, everything has it's price. I'm sure an offer of $20,000,000 might spark a bit of interest.
