Well there is nothing really wrong with Toyota in spite of the bad press lately.

It's just that fundamentally a Toyota isn't a Land Rover.

Enjoy your new vehicle and remember the good Land Rover times and AULRO. :)

Mods - please delete his subscription...he has broken the comandments...

Nah just kidding - hope the Prado treats you well. However despite how much you may enjoy it, you will always know its not a Landy...

Don't forget to wave...it cheers us up

The waver doesn't need to drive a Land Rover judging by the waves I get from Toyota drivers :D

Hope you enjoy the Playdo, no doubt you have already discovered it has a lot less 'soul' than a LR, but each to their own:)

(I have 2 toyotas(Lexus LS's), but I made sure I still have a few LR products for when I need my 'fix', or 'reality check':D)

Good to see you haven't left AULRO though!

Good on you mate, hope it goes well for you. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what your ride is...if you have a 4WD and you enjoy it, and drive it responsibly off road and use it for its intended purpose, you are getting out and about and promoting the sport.

You know what? If a Toyota owner advertised the fact that he or she had bought a LR on most other forum sites, could you IMAGINE the ruckus????

AULRO:):):) What a good bunch of 'nice' people we have here:D

My sister has just purchased a Prado.Someone backed into it somewhere and pushed the nudge bar back a inch or so but that's not the end of it the chassis has also pushed out of alignment and needs to go on one of those straightening machines...so how tough are they? Funny thing is they have no idea where and when it happened.

Jordo - I've had four Prados - last three were 120's and my first was a 90. They were all company vehicles, but also for my personal use. I even took one of them down to Tassie on holidays towing a fairly heavy camper trailer. :)

To be honest, I couldn't fault them. I did get stuck in the 120's once or twice, but that probably had more to do with ambition vs capability. The 90 went anywhere I could ever want it to without problems. The 120 is a very nice vehicle for long distance touring, if not as capable as the 90 (or a Disco) offroad.

I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase and, who knows, you might again see the light one day and end up back in a Rover. ;)

Many of us are guilty of this including me:D Only I purchased the new MN Triton:eek:

As your new Toyota will be so reliable you now will have enough spare time for a Land Rover project of two:D

I can understand your choice as have just been in this position. ;)
