I didn't (we were pressed for time) but I understand that you can.

Great pics, i have some very similar (but less water) from my honeymoon to port douglas in 2008, we did most of the same places, can you tell me the names of all the water falls, some i definetly know like barron falls, the others look familiar...

Did you check out mossman gorge? and the daintree? cape tribulation?

We spent about 8 days there first few we stayed at the sheraton mirrage, over priced rubbish.... but the area was nice, after a few days of that we couldnt handle port douglas any more and wanted some where a little less touristy so we headed north through the coastal tracks up to cook town, that was more suitable for us, nice quiet little place, then back down to cairns on the inland tracks.

Its a great area i cant wait to get back there sometime.

I can't recall offhand the name of the second water fall. Mirra Mirra or something similar? I just checked, not a bad guess. Millaa Millaa.

We went to Mossman Gorge, the Daintree and Cape Trib on a 4wd bus tour. Nice spots, but the tour wasn't terribly flash. Did a cruise on the river and saw a little croc. I did an Adelaide River jumping croc cruise once, much more spectacular!

We went back to Mossman Gorge on another day in a rental car and had a swim. Cold water!

Hi Jon - looks like you had a good honeymoon. Good photos.

Did you do any scuba diving/snorkelling out on the reef?

David,

We did a day trip on Poseidon. It was a great day out. Stopped at three separate reef sites and snorkelled at all three. Highly recommended!
