OK, I have identified front right wheel sensor kaput. OK, i have a few hr, figure i will remove it, clean it, and see if that fixes problem.
I have caliper off, I have main retaining nut off, I have the screw holding hub out....but the disk will NOT come off!. Ive tried a make shift puller, Ive tried a slide hammer, Ive tried "gentle persuasion" with a rubber mallet....what am I doing wrong?
Im stuck at work until i fix it, all suggestions wlecome.

Once the caliper is off and the little phillips head screw is out then the rotor should tap off the hub. Its a really tight fit and is probably just stuck on, so you may need to give it a bit of a whack. I just belt it left/right then top/bottom and it eventually works its way off.

PLUSGAS and LOTS of it.............and a "working" as stated with a hammer and block of wood, as you rotate it, dont hit the disc directly with a metal hammer as they can shatter.

That's the first time that I have herd the term "PLUSGAS" in years. In the UK we used to use it all the time. The Australian version in good old WD40...
So there :p

Yep,thats the way, at first you think nothing is happening and you feel like giving it a REAL belt-dont- keep at it, it will eventually make the tiniest of movement and your away.

Try this.
Henkel - Loctite's Freeze & Release wins AAAA Gold Award (http://www.loctite.com.au/cps/rde/xchg/henkel_aue/hs.xsl/3089_3250_AUS_HTML.htm)
Works a treat if you have Rusty Nuts :o
you can get it from repco etc but Coventry Fasteners are cheaper. about 10 Bucks

I have main retaining nut off, .
What main retaining nut?
If the disc system is the same as the P38A (and I think it is), it's a doddle to remove in comparison to the RRC/D1/Defender.
Is it like this? Brake Job Range Rover 4.0/4.6 (http://www.rangerovers.net/maintenance/brakejob4.html)
From D2 Workshop Manual:
1. Raise front of vehicle.
WARNING: Do not work on or under a
vehicle supported only by a jack. Always
support the vehicle on safety stands.
2. Remove road wheel(s).
3. Remove 2 bolts securing brake caliper to
swivel hub.
4. Release caliper and tie aside clear of brake
disc.
CAUTION: Do not allow caliper to hang on
brake hose.
5. Remove screw securing disc to drive flange.
6. Remove brake disc from drive flange

try using some gentle heat from a gas burner gun or similar, dont boil anything , just heat it up and then maybe use your slide hammer.

I took Mine off last night.. turns out they will be under size if we machine them. Came off as easy as after I drilled the head off the retaining screw. Just need to buy new ones, best $2 I've ever spent. Matt
