Hi all,

So with winter here in Toowoomba approaching (10 degrees this morning) and am finding at startup that the climate control in auto mode blows freezing cold air at a very high fan speed with the ac on for the 1st 15 minutes till the engine warms. I am finding I need to turn the AC off and turn the fan speed down just so I don't freeze my wussy arse off. Is it just my car doing this or do I just need to toughen up? My Calais used to run the fan speed low until the air had warmed to the climate control temp then speed up if required

In other cars I have owned with climate control they wont start blowing air until the engine develops enough heat.

Maybe its an issue that needs looking at.

Perhaps check out the other settings. It is common for a lot of vehicles to run aircon & heat ( warm dry air ) to clear moisture from inside the windscreen quickly. Check out what the heater is on.

Mine will go in Thursday night so the mechanics can see what it is doing when the car is cold on friday morning .

For what it is worth, my D3 blows very little air until the motor is warm, and then ups the fan speed...... which is what one would expect...... I find it very strange that LR have changed systems that should just be a bolt on from the D3 to the D4......
