Hi Guys

Really Keen on going Mountain Bike riding again.

I have an El Cheapo "Giant" which I've had for years , nothing crash hot , but it'll do me.:D

I'm discovering a lot of good bush walking trails when walking the 2 x dogs , some of these trails look interesting for a good MTB ride. But I'm not sure if MTB's are allowed on these tracks etc.

Wouldn't want to go tearing through the "Bush" with my Mountain Bike

:wasntme:

Is there any interests here to form a Group for riding on weekends ? etc
or on people's days off ??

I've searched on google for some good riding tracks around this area but can't seem to find much,I've also Joined a MTB Forum.

hopefully I can find keen people who are interested to go riding with.:)

cheers Khos

The rules in Penno Park are, bikes are allowed on all fire trails, but not on the Great North Walk singletrack sections. Same in Lane Cove NP. But its hell funny taking a ranger down some gnarly bits when he's trying to catch you :D

Khos there is a Hornsby mountain bike group around. They are lobbying at the moment to try and get tracks built in the quarry area under the new master plan for that area.

Here is a link. They might be able to help with places to ride as well.

Theres also a proposal to council to turn part of the old Belrose Tip into an MTB track which is nothing but good news, Manly Dam is way over used...mostly by me as i live at the bottom of it!

Rotorburn.com is a good website if not already on it, lots of local lads wanting to get out and pedal...
