After much reading and posting last week I paid a deposit on a 130 dual Cab in Stornaway Grey, its an 09 plate from a dealer in Brisbane and for that reason I got it a little cheaper than a "10 Build".

It will be on a truck to the Tray maker late next week early the following week if all goes to plan.

I did this against the advice of all my Triton/Hilux driving mates !!

I'll wave when I see you guys :)

Well done mate good choice:D , May i ask why all your mates tried to steer you away , Was it due to their ignorance of the LR product or were they speaking from first hand experience or rumours , ;)

They just said there no good and i will be broken down all the time none of them own a defender so it's mainly here sat I suppose. I appreciate they are a different beast to the jap rigs. Some advantages and some disadvantages but to my thinking they are morecapable than jap rigs and with mud rails won't be too bad comfort

pc3, I have driven Tritons and Hilux extensively because of work. I now own a Defender. The previous 2 are just not in the same league as the Defender - I don't think it is fair on the Triton or Hilux to compare it with a Defender - I really don't think they were built to compete with the Defender - if they were, the designers missed the mark by a long shot, just completely different sorts of vehicle.

Hi pc3,
I did similar 2 weekends ago, got a new 130 CS for $39k as it was an 09 plated vehicle. I put a second hand tray on it - I need to play with it a bit to see if what I want is what I need, and will it work etc.
I am thrilled to bits with it - haven't got it dirty yet though.
cheers
