I need to say hello and a quick apology to the guy in Dorrigo fixing his 101 on the side of the road - hope he's a member.
I sailed past him on Saturday afternoon and yelled out a quick hello while he had his head down working on the front axle - probably scared the hell out of him.
We were on an outing from Brisbane via Armidale and the Waterfall Way, then down to Coffs and home via Kyogle and the Lions Road.

Yeah, but then he might have asked Harry to repaint it, weld up cracked doors, fabricate diff seals, adjust the clutch..... :p :D

Yeah, I thought about stopping in, but he was in his front yard, and let's face it he would probably have been in Landrover Nirvana just fiddling around with his truck.
I would have pulled up with whinging kids and an impatient co-driver (she doesn't "get" the Landrover cameraderie thing) and spoilt it all for him.

You sure it was a 101 and not a Series 2 Forward Control. My spies would (should) have let me know if a 101 lived up there.
Cheers

I thought it was a 101, but I'm no expert.
It did seem really "boxy" from front-on, and not rounded-off like the series 2.

I assume you're talking about the one that's just around the corner from the fire station?
I did a flying trip down to MJK Discovery at Raleigh on Friday and meant to stop and take a photo on the return trip; but unfortunately I was a man on a mission on my way back up the hill :burnrubber:

It was on the RHS of the road as I was travelling up the hill towards the edge of town heading for Bellingen.
BTW Treads, you live in a nice part of the country - that trip across from Armidale to the coast is sensational.
