There are some terrible roads on the fens from Cambridgeshire - lincolnshire I used to drive them for work every morning.
The one in Cambs have massive dykes running down the side of them (nothing to do with Women in comfortable shoes) And the Lincolnshire ones were just all over the place, add the addition of idiot drivers and you have a cocktail for disaster.
They need a serious upgrade as they were designed a few hundred years ago for farm use not the amount of traffic that use them today.
I used to particularly like the black ice on them.
