Hey All,
My dad is looking for a soft top Series LR for use in a photo shoot around Newcastle, probably on Stockton beach.
This will occur on the 18th and 19th May.
Some money will be provided for the use of your vehicle as it is draped in beautiful models for the day.
For more information, PM me and I will get you in contact with my dad to organise the finer points.
Many thanks
CaptJimmy

Is this the same mob who emailed the LROC Sydney last week?
They referred us to an example picture of a girl on a green "jeep" - it was a Landie!

Never a good way to convince people to loan you their pride and joy! :o

Not sure, the info I got was third hand. All i know is that they require a soft-top series landy for a photo shoot for a couple of days. I certainly know the difference between a jeep and a landy, as does my old man. But some people in this world...

Having dealth with media production companies. I would be getting paid in cash on the day, no promises and absolutely no cheques.
BTW if your vehicle is on HCRS plates you can not be paid for the vehicle, other than actual reimbursement of fuel and beach permits etc. If you do accept money for the vehicle, you are effectively driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

Ah well, you can't teach some people.
I was told 2 days, maybe they have shortened their schedule.

Hey diana can they do the landy for free and pay for the use of the driver:DThe RTA can not control what people get paid for, but they can regulate the use of vehicles and the third party personal insurance cover it carries.
I can not imagine that a disfigured fashion model would be a cheap claim against your insurance.

Yeah that looks to be the same group.
I know only what's in the above email. My dad knew I was a member of this forum, so he asked me to throw a request out to see if anyone was interested.
Can't comment on what they're like to work with, but the above advice on being paid on the day does sound like a wise idea.

G'day All, Diana the cam net came with the gunbuggy, I have never opened it out, have no idea how big it is, I can tell you it's heavy.
I don't have them all at home, 3 are at a secret location, and I have a Poodle Patrol, very effective weapons LOL cheers Dennis:angel:

In the meantime when down at Corowa, I purchased one of the Aussie grassland, or what ever it's name is, cam nets for about half the price of the one bought in Sydney.
The new one, will suit the Mk3 and the FFR when it get's its Aussie suntan back. :)

G'day All, Diana, the cam net came with the buggy when purchased, and as the previous owner was just retired from the Defence Force (Army) I suspect that he didn't buy it, rather pulled it from Q/store, he was, prior to retiring mapping all the indigenous sacred sites in and around the range/s within the Holsworthy Mil/complex, he told me he used it to cam the buggy whilst away from it anyway cheers Dennis:angel:

Having faced off with the poodle patrol, I can assure you that the burgler would see neither the poodle nor the ribbons - only the slow motion flicker of his life flashing before his eyes... :eek2:
