This is the near finished article (Stiil have to remove the tub and paint the rear bulkhead and inner tub)I think the paint looks fitting for a Defender I have bought new transfers but feel that less is more so I am of two minds as to fit them or not.
I cut the black plastic light surrounds down yesterday and i think they look better in this format almost series three.
Transferring the bulkhead was a longer job than anticipated, well with the paintjob as well that is.
Doing it all on my own it took 20 days ie: every day of my holiday I don't begrudge it at all it was a great experience, But next time I would con someone into giving me a hand lol
The interior looks like it has just copped an air-strike, as I am looking to customise the dash, I think that will finish the job.

Looks great, but I think the inside will take you just as long.

A mattock, rake, pitchfork and broom on the bonnet maybe. :D

You got me for a second there pop until i read the other articles suggested and realised you meant mattock lol...Have used a few of them for line laying in the signals ...I understand they are handy for prospecting too :D

:mad::mad:You lucky, lucky, lucky, Beep bloody Beep:D
Mine still only painted up to the firewall, I have not done the plastic grill as yet and don't know if I will.
I will not be replacing any transfers on mine when finished.
Are you going to paint the black and tan cam ?

No I thought I would go for GS drab Olive only,It looks like 'my' Land rover now I can't even describe to you how chuffed I am.
Eric So are you still working on yours or is it a continuing saga over a period?
What with the major undertaking of fitting the new bulkhead and doing a new paint job( both firsts) It has been a major achievement for me personally and I now have the Landy of my dreams.
I have simple aspireations in life and one of those has just been met.
Aslo Eric what paint pattern are you going for?
My main reason for using just the drab olive is useability of the vehicle and the ability to touch up scratches without holding a tir-sample of paint stock (as it's all money at the end of the day.
