Let me say from the outset I love the thing and thank all here for the great information AULRO provides owners.

My experience so far:

Purchased as second owner in Jan 2010 with only 22000 on clock. Vehicle was like new, does not appear to have ever gotten dirty.

I have now added almost 5000km in 4 months.

1. First trip on the dust and corrugations - rear sway bar bolt goes bush.
2. Easter trip towing 1.2 tonne camper - great run, no issues, excellent fuel economy even towing of around 10l/100km.
3. ANZAC day trip with camper - engine goes into limp mode on the way home and Im towed in - Landrover Assist excellent. New software in the computer now and a buggered fuel pump replaced - probably bad fuel.
4. The day I get the LR back with the new fuel pump the vacuum pump seal blows in the best possible location - at home in the shed.
5. Back in at LR today- not sure what generation vacuum pump I will end up with.
6. Trinity LR Cairns providing excellent support and no problem an issue.
7. The new engine software made a noticeable difference to engine smoothness and driveability.

Love the car and look forward to getting back into it. Not sure what other issued I can expect with an 07 Puma - based on the VIN mine was one of the first 15,000 built - but will keep watching the forum for a heads up.

- Will relocate the fuel tank breather - inspected a 2010 model this morning and it is in behind the plastic light panel on the passenger side wheel well. That may have caused the fuel pump death as it has been very wet in Cairns this year. Well thats all of it so hope to wave to another Deefa jockey soon.

Warren.

just on point 1, a mates 3.0l patrol bolt on his rear sway bar gets replaced about every 3 months.. even without corrugations.. and with loctite!

im guessing its common...

now i wonder if that happened on my 2002, but the whole swaybar fell off?

Funny that, weh ad a similar experience on our brand new Puma. After LR Experience (100km on the clock), we found that one of the rubber bushes on the rear sway bar had popped out of its mounting!

good old LR quality
