Can anyone direct me to a few companies in Aus. who have/can supply centre muffler replacement pipes for a 90 without waiting for it to come from the old country, a trip that at times takes longer than Captain Cooks voyage.

Why not just take to a mufler shop they will be able to replace the mufler with a straight pipe. Much cheaper option.

Unless you want to be able to put the mufler back in for selling or long trips.

Your best bet would be to contact RoverCraft I think they would have something.

I'll second stig on that... Any muffler place should be able to do it, took mine to Grapnel Mufflers in Balcatta.
More than welcome to have a look at it 2mrw (saturday), i'll be under it for a while replacing the front pipe with something less restrictive. :D

Enjoy the break Allan.

I was in Darwin last week with work. I was driving the compnys diesel Prado and in a car park in Darwin was an SVX with a Howling Moon roof top tent!

Make sure you go to Hunamans for a feed one night. Probably was of the best restaurants you could ever eat at any where in Oz.

My original 1994 centre muffler cracked out last year. About $90 for a hot dog in as a straight cut and shut using the original flanges. Goes even better than before and holds 5th much longer

As above, just go to any exhaust shop.
Hans-on-Exhausts at maddington are good value IME. They only accept cash though.

5teve,
Just replaced my front pipe with a Terrafirma one. How much are the mid pipe replacements? (just out of interest, already have the centre muffler removed).

This seems to happen to a lot of orders, you order the part and never hear again. Last time I gave up and had it sent direct from the UK

well all i did was take the lat 1/3 of the exhaust off,, put a straight thru in the middle(60$) and get a disco 2 dump pipe with no cat(its who you no:D),, fender/d2 have the same part NO. so in a way mine still has standard exhaust:D:D but i will soon put the last 1/3 on with a straight thru and see how it sounds, might make it deeper??;)

so all up its cost me 60$ to have a wicked sounding td5 that terns heads megger time, ay shamo:D

Iain has told me that it will be here on Monday :) i'll be looking forward to getting it put on!
I was looking at UK options but by the time i added postage it was no cheaper. i think with a bulk order the postage wouldnt be too bad..
Now to find one of those damn tachos at the right $$$

I may go with stig0000's idea when I get home. May be good way to go, may be able to get good front pipe from wreckers
