heaters and eng temps

Hi all,

Just a few questions. My perentie has just started to experience what is known as 'cold' weather down here (just moved down from Townsville) in sunny Newcastle and in the mornings the eng temperature is only getting to about 45 degrees after traveling at 100 ish kays an hour for about a half hour driving time. Thermostat issue or just pure awesome engine?

I am also attempting to do a rebuild on the heater and have found that the little vent on the intake manifold of the heater was blocked for some years and there is a nice water line about an inch from the top of the fan impeller when I removed it....:( The electric motor had been sitting in water and has ceased to spin any more. Does anyone know if you can get replacement heater motors? $$$$$?

Thermostat failure is commonly a case of not shutting properly any more when cold. Just replace the thermostat ASAP, should be done every 50,000km or so in any case.:)
