Defender 130 tray extension

Interested to know if a 130 can have its tray extended to 2.4 to load on a slide on with a max load about 1ton. Also want to tow a boat up to 2 ton max as well. What limitations are there. I have just dumped my 2000 Patrol 3litre turbo because its motor lost compression in 3 an4 cylinders. I was not happy with the way it towed the boat either.
