Remember to sleep, breathe, eat, and do those other important bodily functions in the mean time.

Waiting for your Defender is the definition of the length of eternity.

It's just like Christmas eve when you were a kid. :D

i was lucky, when i when to the LR dealers to buy my 110cc, they had a hunt around and found a 110cc in stornaway grey that i wanted, it was already in a shipment on the water bound for aus and nobody had put there name to it, so i just signed up on the spot, i think the wait was only 7 weeks, but then 2 extra cos i was away to work the day aftr it arrived at the dealers

some very good tips there i shal take into consideration :D
it just seems to take so bloody long and when the dealers dont have any idea of the exact date it will be here it makes it so much more annoying:(

i know there is an actual thread about melvill moon seat covers but i thought why not bring it up in this thread considering it is about the PUMA's. :D

i see that "dullbird" got a very nice set and so did "dmdigital" but i am wondering does anyone else have any experience with them or has any photos to share?
i get the rough idea that they are around the $750 mark for the full set is that correct?
does anyone know the best place/way to get them?

also has anyone out there chipped there puma yet? if so was it worth it money wise and are you satisfied with the performance?

throw in one more thing while im at it  take this opportunity to post your favourite pics of your/someones PUMA's :D:D

I am interested in seat covers too would love to know what cheap option to get you buy for a year while you save for nice canvas ones I have heard hilux covers fit pumas so you could get a set from super cheap etc. To get you by.

As far as chipping goes if you get more out of the motor then you will be reduceing it's longevity IMO you can't have more performance without stressing the motor more surely

let's see mote different puma pics !!

Yep - it's genuine LR plate - countersunk rivets. ;) It's not like I'll ever remove it.

all puma photos are welcome considering that is almost what mine should look like when it arrives apart from the snorkel (mine being a safari) and the tyres of course :( i ordered my checker plate (black) kit with the car and it is costing around $1600 is that just for the wing tops or is it sill, sides etc etc? sweet rig you hav there i must say :D does it hav lockers or is it just the traction control lifting the wheel like that?

as for seat covers i am also considering just the super cheap or auto1 option for awhile i rekon

keep the puma pics coming!!!:D

scallops also what size lift do you have there? i so hope mine looks even half as good as yours and ill be happy:D

pc3 i have not decided yet i dont know if ill just go for some throw overs for awhile because then they will be easy to take of and clean. with melvil moons i do know they only make 3 colours i think sandy colour (which looks the best but i would get them dirty quick smart) greyish blueish colour that would be the most practical and cannot remember the other colour ;) but from my observations melvil moons look like the bee's knee's of all seat covers i have ever seen  nothing to fancy and fluffy but very practical and very well designed

:D

I ordered specifically both the sill guards and the wing tops - so I don't know what you'll get just asking for a "checker plate kit". If you want both, best to let them know - they always need months to order the stuff, it seems - not many people are willing to spend the bucks on genuine Checker plate.

No lockers. It lifts like that cos we built the "playground" so it would!

No lift - no lockers - it's stock.

A local (Qld made) seat cover I bought was by Michelle Sacs....

Will cost more than the others you mention.

Shees - genuine wingtops are expensive - mine were half that price and I thought that was extortion! Still - buy it once, buy it right.

The seat covers are perfect - michelle herself came to my house and cut the new pattern from my vehicle's seats, as I had the first registered Puma in Australia. They are cotton lined which protects the actual seat cloth too. They look like they will outlast religion, are waterproof and are easy to clean. They cost a fortune but are in my opinion the finest available.

I really can't remember how much they were - if you ring the website contact number I gave in a earlier post - they'll tell you. But they were roughly twice as expensive as the M&M ones, from memory.

And yes - I have Australia's first Puma - albeit with mainly 2009 / 2010 parts!
