In Walking the Bible, Bruce Ferrer, sets out to trace the events and happenings of the Old Testament. He covers 10,000 miles by car, camel and on foot going from location to location. He comes across a monastery that claim to have the original "burning bush". It is in a little yard. On the wall beside it is a fire extinguisher!Anyway the question is- If you were there and the bush suddenly flared into life and God spoke to you through the medium of the burning bush, would you grab the extinguisher and lay into the bush or would you have a conversation with the Almighty?

Is that the only monastery that has the original burning bush? There might be a few more around. So many medieval churches had a piece of the true cross, it must have been the size of a Eucalyptus Regnans. Not to mention saint's relics. Damn strange looking people, saints, numerous heads, hearts, limbs and appendages, not to mention blood quantities measured in hogsheads.

St Catherines at Mt Sinai has the burning bush, but I somehow think it is a replica since it is still alive and should be 3000 or so years old.

Since St Catherines was only built in about 384AD, they probably have guessed a position. They do not really know which of the four peaks of Mt Sinai Moses climbed to , but they have picked one so that the camel drivers can earn some money from tourists.

As a Landy owner you get used to talking to yourself, only way to have an intelligible conversation while you're driving.
