Well guess who got into trouble because a website, that shall remain nameless, has put ads on that automatically start with sound:mad:
I understand the need for ads, but the golden rule of ads on websites is NO SOUND unless asked for (ie clicked on).
For me, this time it woke up my newborn who had just gotten off to sleep:mad::mad:
But it also means that I will not be able to visit the site at whilst at work:(
Who's with me for the NO SOUND ON ADS campaign.:nazilock:

I'm with ya... I HATE sound and/or music on websites.
I agree that it should be an option to turn it ON, not the current turn off option.
Go to Burbank Homes website, you get blasted by that bloody 'baby i'm coming home' song. Turn your sound down a bit if you do go try it.

Before youbrowse whatever forum etc has sound. go to your computers properties and mute the speaker, And if you never use sound at work, leave it muted.

One of my pet internet hates.....
Especially if you were listening to music earlier and had the speakers up a bit :censored: grrrrrrrrr
Like mentioned before, ANY website, ads or not, should have option to turn ON sound, not a mad mouse hunt to find the speaker symbol to turn sound off.....

Yep, I hate 'em.
Those Snickers ads really got to me after a while.

What about the bandwidth that they burn up?
One of the plugins I got for firefox disables multimedia and images.
when you start a page it loads up and at the top of the tab is a version of the password remember line
do you want to load (X) yes, no ? [] always for this page in future
where (X) is the type of media that wants to load on the page.
Only problem I have with it is it occasionaly sets all to off which makes AULRO and my default pages load weird.
