G'day,

I am just wondering if there is a definitive list of Recall items for the D3?

I just saw CraigE's list but if they are the ones LR have missed, then what are the ones that they actually got?

Cheers,

Norm

The Dealer should be able to give you the TSB's for your D3.
As to if they've been done , there may not be a record.

Any warranty work done will be on LRA's data base.
How many km's on your considered vehicle ?

Just under 100k Neil, 98,500 from memory.

I got a good reply from a bloke in NZ on the DISCO3.CO.UK site and I will take all this info, plus the warranty questions, up to Southern later this week.

They (Southern) are dicking the finance company around by not sending an invoice and the finance company won't approve the finance without the invoice. I'm starting to get the proverbials about the whole deal...

Cheers again,

G'day again,

Can anyone decode this list of 'Service Actions' that a guy from NZ gave me?

He recently purchased an '05 TDV6 and found the list in his service history.

Q003 Discovery3 towing equip (this has to do the the weakness in the original plate thats attached)
Q045E done jun/09
Q002X done oct/07
A034B done jul/06
A036G done jul/06

Can any owners tell me if this is about right or were there more recalls?

Cheers,

Norm

I had the same problem with my D4 whereby the dealer wouldn't give me an invoice before I transferred the money. They weren't getting the money until I had the invoice though and they eventually capitulated. I'd have walked away without an invoice - too much money at risk if they were to go belly-up overnight.

I can't put my finger on a specific but I am not real impressed with Southern. Everything seems to hard unless I keep pushing.

I had to go in (its an hour drive away) and sit in the showroom until the head sales guy came out to talk to me, which took half an hour. I was just expecting a little more from a company that I am about to give $50k to...

I think its sorted now eventually, although the next hurdle is getting the car wired up for my trailer brake controller. First they suggested that I take it to a mob on the other side of Perth (further still away from me). I told them that I wanted LR to do it so that it would be done by someone who knows LR and would do the job properly. They said that they will just send it out to this place but I think that is their problem, I just want to deal with LR so if something goes wrong, they can't say it was someone else...

I guess I will see how it goes...

Have you bought something or not Norm ?

'05 TDV6 SE, with 98k on the clock.

Contract signed, car at LR workshop being inspected/detailed prior to rego and handover as it was bought over from SA to WA unregistered. As far as I can tell it was traded in SA and the dealer bought it wholesale and then trucked it over. This is fairly common over here as there aren't very many local used cars.

Finance and Warranty all sorted with Meaghan Roulston who has been excellent to deal with.

Final thing I need is for the dealer to wire up the brake controller, which lead me to my previous post.

I'm looking forward to getting the car, don't get me wrong, just wondering out loud if its generally this difficult??
