We are looking at moving out to baccus marsh and get a feeling of the country life. anyone from there that have any suggestions of good area's? i'm looking to find something near the state forest as i dont really want to be in the middle of the city center. plus if anyone knows anyone in the panel trade around the area thats looking for a worker let me know.

Bloody cold place in the spring, winter and autumn :D, Summer is nice:cool:
Not sure on the best parts of the place although I do have a mate who lives there. The Courthouse Hotel is where most of the local tradies go for a beer, might be worth going in there and asking around regarding a bit of work. (my mates name is Greenie, he's a barman there most of the time, has lived in the bog...oops Marsh for a long time, look him up, tell him u know Wardy, he might be able to tell you who to talk to)

You could give some thought to trying what I did after my ex wife and her father with an unlimeted bank account took everything I had worked for for 15 years, leaving me with a toyota ute and a bag full of clothes.
Stayed at my sisters for a few weeks and scraped up enough for a deposit on a really good caravan with the lot, shower toilet annex etc. Didn't have to buy any furniture and apart from $100 bucks a week for park rental which covered electricity, water etc. enabled me to recover from a pretty devastating situation.
The good bit was at the end of a few years I ended up with an asset (the Van) and wasn't contributing too much in rental to someone else. I later sold this at a profit and used the money for a deposit on a small house (the worst in the street) in Mt Evelyn Vic. This house was cleaned up and painted and once again sold for a profit.
Living in the van was great, dont like your neighbors wait a few days and they move on, Never had to mow the lawns, no rates, no bills and I met some fantastic people. Helped me get back on top of things fairly fast!
