Few Questions now that the D4 has arrived

According to the dealer, my D4 is here and goes for PDI on Wednesday. A few questions so that I can sort out my camper trailer.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the LED shunt is required for the D4?

Can anyone recommend an Auto Electrician in Adelaide who is familiar with D3's and the fitting of electric brake controllers and anderson plugs (I'm assuming the D4 is the same). I had issues with my D3 and Anderson plugs charging my camper trailer batteries that was never really solved by several sparkies. Keep getting fed some line about LR circuits use a different earth!! - anybody got an anderson plug on their D4 yet?

I'd try Opposite Lock on South Road (have set up a number of long range tourer D3's) or Electroserve on Magill Rd, who have done some electrical work on D3's and finally Mt Barker 4x4 (Glen Bull) is excellent with all things 4x4 and has also worked on D3's

For the trailer stability to work, yes you'll need a shunt box. The towed vehicle won't flicker its lights like a D3 would, but it won't recognise the trailer without the shunt.

Sorry for my ignorance but do the D3 vehicles suffer from the same problem and will they also subsequently require a shunt if using LED trailer lights? Also will there be any issues with standard trailer lights (i.e. not LED)?

D3 will also need a shunt box for LED-equipped trailers. Std lights present no problems.

I have a 50amp anderson plug on my D4. I also have a 12 pin trailer plug with a 25amp 12v output.

I was having a number of issues with the dealer and the 50amp anderson plug. Rather than argue with the dealer and their failure to listen. I fitted a voltage sensitive relay on the caravan side to prevent draining the car battery.
