Minimum forum profile

I’m sure this has been raised before but what the heck.

Is there any reason why this forum can’t have a minimum profile requirement apart from name?

Even if it was Country, State, vehicle type eg Def TDI, TD5 Disco TDI, TD5 etc.

Really frustrating sometimes when posters “assume” that everyone knows what vehicle they’re talking about.

And before the “conspirators”, “privacy” junky’s start sorry but I can’t see by disclosing what state you’re in or the model is a privacy issue. If so you have bigger things to worry about.

I notice yours doesn't give your location.

There have been instances of people with problems who could have received hands-on help from someone who lived just around the corner, but because no-one knew where they lived, it didn't happen.

listing vehicle types like that isn't so useful for those with multiple vehicles
