G'day,

Just a quick question - I've seen much useful and informative info (especially from memebr Drivesafe - verandah forum) on dual battery systems for D3's - I am impressed by the Traxide system in particular and will be getting one when able to do so.

I have a corrosion inhibitor chip (dealer installed) fitted on my vehicle - is anyone aware of any issues regarding dual battery system/ corrosion protection compatibility (or non-compatibility)?

Many thanks,

NMcK

If anyone will know Traxide will. Why don't you PM him and ask.

Tunnelthug,

I assume you got the car from Austral? I got mine 3 years ago from SSLR (Austral subsidiary now gone) with factory fitted rust inhibitor and I have have the traxide kit as well.

Apart from the shoddy install of the rust inhibitor wiring that I had to fix, all is good.

Cheers.

Thanks WhiteD3,

I did get my D3 from Austral - wiring is fine, thank goodness!

Look underneath where the wire runs to the back of the car. On mine they ran it tied to the side of the chassis, which came loose and hung down. I undid it all and ran it through the chassis rail.

Cheers.

Hi NMcK, to date, no one has indicated that they have had an problems, so with the large numbers of my isolators out there, I can’t see why you should but it’s still an interesting question.

Good advice - I'll have another look.
