second is also a great shot tad under exposed.. Do you have PP software?

Lovely photos bblaze.

The yellow-tail cockatoos are often around Sheila's parents place on the NSW south coast.

When we go out to our block at Elong Elong, we often see the Red-tailed black cockatoos flying over towards the dam in the late afternoon. We actually found a nest up there, in a hole in a tree, many years ago. They don't seem to be afraid of us when we are there...probably because they don't get bothered by people out there too much!

They are magnificent birds. Thanks for the pics.

PP done with photoshop, lens at this stage is a kit 55 to 200, just waiting for my new 18 to 200 vr11 nikor lens to turn up

I think the kit lenses can be so under estimated at times.

you should put it on the thread birds with a kit lens.

How do you find using photoshop for PP? I find it quite tiresome and lengthy, perhaps its because I don't fully understand all of it.

I have lightroom I just find it really quick and easy for quick touch ups

Dont fully understand it, wife used to do all our graphics work with it. I use to use paintshop pro and am going to put that back on because I understand it a little more. I am dont like to PP at all really, I love it when I can get a picture straight off the camera but that doesnt seem to be happening much of late. Be interesting how the new lens performs when it gets here. Seems most of my pics these days come off the camera over exsposed.

and especially with a kit lens, we all know that there not fast lenses I think he has done a great job:)
