front door speaker size D2

Hi im looking at upgrading my speakers this week,and before i pulled my door skins apart was wondering what size the front door speakers are on a D2 01.The ones on the back door are 6.5inch but these look smaller maybe 5.25inch?

Take your door skin off and walk it into the audio shop. You have to take the skin off to fit the speakers anyway. The problem is not necessarily the diameter (size), its also the cone angle. For example, i bought some 6.5 inch Hertz splits, which should have dropped straight in...they didnt. When I did the rears, I thought I would get something smaller. Took the skin in with me, and to my suprise, a set of pioneer 6.5s dropped straight in (different cone angle)...I suspect it would be the same on the front because the hertz didnt fit on the rear either.

The fronts I got to fit by taking a dremel bit to a power drill and cutting out the circle about 5mm.
