As some of you know my youngest daughter moved to Melb in January.

She now has to reregister her car there and insure it...she has had quotes on fixing the windscreen...3 chips repaired or renew...very expensive....does any one have a contact for her;):D

Mrs hh:angel:

With three chips, especially not fresh ones, replace the screen. Get prices from yellow pages. Windscreen O'Brian are usually the dearest.

What vehicle? A vitara screen only cost us $230 in Adelaide but was quoted $550 here in Whyalla.

G'day

Try Elite windscreens 9704 8268. I use them all the time (replacing windscreens on trucks) and have found them to offer the best value for money. Hope this is of help.

Cheers Gavin

I have had decent prices and service from a franchise called 'windscreen power', both in Hoppers Crossing, and Ballarat

maybe that would be worth a try? a few years back i was quoted $300+ to have my VL commodore windscreen changed (by o'briens), and it was done windscreen power for $160

If it's not already sorted as said earlier get out the Yellow pages. When you ring around say you have a cheaper price else where and play them off each other. Winscreen Obrien was about $300 for a VS Commodore I sold and suddenly dropped to $150 to beat other prices, good quality original glass was used as well.

Mrs HH,

Another vote for Windscreen Power here. They did my SIII Stage 1 and my '65 Merc. I have noticed a large proportion of their clientele are classic vehicle enthusiasts.

Wizard Windscreens replaced my Commodore windscreen on site for a very reasonable price.

What suburb of Melbourne does she live in?
Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

regards
Mick
