hey all,

i'm in desperate need of some sort of clutch allignment tool for a 300tdi (specialised tool, old input shaft etc..)

If anyone has one or knows someone with one that i could borrow for half a day, would love to hear it :D South/East Melbourne would be ideal!
I'll come pick it up and drop it back obviously, so there's no work in it for ya!

Real keen to get the new clutch bolted up and the car running again in time for a weekend away on Queens Birthday :D

Cheers,
Rob

Got a multifit clutch aligner tool here, which is a complete pain in the ass, either you need the front of a box mainshaft or just do it by eye, which seems to work well:)

yeh i've got one of the multi-tools, but they still go by eye. Worked in my Pulsar but not so confident using it on the Landy :p

Multifit jiggers are crap, although I do use it, to adjust the alignment by eye:D

If you got it right in the Pulsar, you can get it right in the rover, no difference, only has to get the mainshaft to line up, once the clutch is depressed once, it centres itself

Find a shaft thats a snug fit in your spigot bearing and a roll of electrical tape will make it up to the diameter of the cluth plate. Used this method in the bush a few times
