Looking at a Series 2 1964 SWB Hardtop Tomorrow

As the heading says, I am looking at a SWB Series 2 tomorrow, Please, Please, Please, give me some pointers what I should be looking for, and what to watch out for, what I have been told, is that it is very straight, and the only 2 things that it needs, are a exhaust and to bleed the brakes, and it will all be good! it still has the original engine and drive chain

Take a screw driver and poke it hard at the chassis around the rear cross member and front dumb irons/around the bumper bar. Look closely at the firewall, mainly around the footwells, bottom of the door pillars and under the windscreen hinges. These are the common rust areas.
Make sure the engine runs alright, doesn't blow funny coloured smoke or have some beats stronger than others. It should pull alright. Gearbox should change gear alright but you'll need to double clutch. if your not used to it, like me, you'll probably make bad sounds when changing so keep that in mind...
Don't forget to try it in high and low range and make sure 4wd engages alright in high range (4wd automatically engages in low range).
Reality is, everything on these vehicles can be fixed, the only real show-stopper is a severely rusted chassis. But it all depends what you want to do with it, how much you want to spend getting parts and how soon you want to drive it.
